IAQ - ANTHEM HEADQUARTERS
12/24/2008

In response to occupant complaints, CEM conducted several Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) Investigations at the Anthem Headquarters in Indianapolis, Indiana.

As is customary for IAQ investigations performed by CEM, a thorough visual investigation to identify potential contaminants or factors contributing to poor IAQ was conducted.  Concurrent with the visual inspections, CEM collected measurements for temperature and relative humidity for comparison to the ASHRAE standards.

Based upon occupant complaints and visual observations, CEM developed a specific sampling plan to address concerns.  The following sampling was conducted at routine intervals over a period of several months:

  • Mold in Air
  • Surface Mold
  • Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC’s)
  • Formaldehyde
  • Allergens
  • Respirable Particulates

Based on CEM’s investigations and sampling, the client was able to positively refute charges of contamination and exposure to building occupants.
